There are many places in Uttaranchal that are worth visiting. There are plenty of opportunities for trekking, hiking, river rafting, etc. The state abounds in springs, waterfalls, and scenic locales. Many picturesque destinations higher up in the mountains, are accessible only on foot.
From Uttaranchal you can travel further to Himachal Pradesh, or south to Uttar Pradesh to continue your tour of India.
