Day 01 - Arrive Delhi
Get a warm welcome from our tour representative on arrival in Delhi on day 01 of the Maharaja Retreat Tour. Check in to the hotel and have the first hand experience of Indian warmth and hospitality. Get greeted by the ladies in traditional local costumes welcoming you with garlands and performing the "aarti" ceremony and putting the traditional red "Tikka" on the forehead.
A perfect blend of modern cosmopolitan and rich traditional culture, Delhi the capital of India is a global city. Located on the banks of River Yamuna, Delhi is the seat of the Indian Government and is also the second largest metropolis in India. A major tourist attraction, Delhi is known for its glorious pas and houses a large number of monuments.

Day 02 - Delhi 
Take a city tour of Delhi and cover Laxmi Narayan Temple - The Place of Gods, India Gate - The memorial of martyrs and the Parliament House - The Government headquarters. In the afternoon take a city tour of Old Delhi cover places like Jama Masjid - The largest mosque in Asia, Red Fort - The red stone magic, Gandhi memorial - The memoir of father of the nation etc. Enjoy light and sound show in the evening. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 - Delhi - Agra
Drive to Agra on third day of the Mahraja Retreat tour and enroute visit the Emperor Akbar's tomb at Sikandara. On reaching, the "Chobedars" (gate keepers) usher guests to the lobby of the hotel. Ladies dressed in traditional attire welcome the guests with flowers and "ittar" (perfume) in traditional style. Check in and relax for a few hours. Take lunch and later visit places like the Red Fort, the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah. Also take time to shop.
Enjoy Magical Mughal night in the evening and get welcomed: where guests with traditional "Pagris" (turbans) and " Chunnis" (scarfs) are welcomed with a shower of rose petals and "ittar" (perfume). Traditionally attired attendants serve a sumptuous meal in Silver Thalis (plates) on "bajot" (low tables) to guests seated on mattresses.
A beautiful city in the Uttar Pradesh state of India, Agra is known for the majestic Taj Mahal. The city is located on the banks of Yamuna River and is one of the major tourist destinations of India. Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri are the three notable structures of Agra and have been declared world Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

Day 04 - Agra 
Visit the Majestic Taj Mahal. Enjoy a typical ride on a Rickshaw up to the Taj Mahal. Visit the local Bazaar and witness a large collection of spectacular work on marble.
Enjoy the Village fair Theme organized for you in the evening. A village setting is created with bamboo huts, benches and stalls. The fair gives a chance to the villagers to mingle with guests and display their traditional skills such as doll making, puppet making, pottery "pichwai" paintings and other crafts. Monkey show, a palmist, a snake charmer and a performance with dummy horse dancers and singers are other sources of entertainment provided on the Maharaja Retreat. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05 - Agra - Jaipur
Head for Jaipur and enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri - old deserted town of the Mughals. On reaching, transfer to the hotel, where a Maharaja's welcome awaits you. A stunning tableau of decorated camels and Elephants unfolds before you on the lawns of the palace-hotel. Get a traditional welcome by ladies in Rajasthani costumes performing the traditional garlanding, "aarti" and "tikka" ceremonies while the music of the Shehnai welcomes you. Afternoon free for leisure. Return to the hotel.
Known for its rich culture and heritage, Jaipur is a beautiful city and the capital of Rajasthan. Once the former capital of the princely state of Jaipur, the city was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II and was the first planned city in India.

Day 06 - Jaipur
Day starts with an excursion to Amer Fort. Take interesting joy ride on an Elephant. Go on an half-day city tour and cover places like Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar - the Royal Observatory, Nawab Sahab-Ki-Haveli, City Palace, Johari Bazaar etc. Enjoy a Rajput Wedding in the evening and participate as the "baraat". A festive buffet meal, music, folk dances and a few rituals would be performed during the party. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 - Jaipur - Samode 
Satrt for Samode in the morning. Enter the village where decorated camels await. Access the palace on the carts. Arrive and receive a traditional welcome by village elders and the village belles full of local attire showering rose petals on the group. Transfer to the hotel. Relax for some time after which enjoy cocktails arranged at Sheesh Mahal. Enjoy the cultural extravaganza at the Durbar hall.
Samode is a quaint little village in Rajasthan. The place is known for its majestic and well decorated havelis lying against the backdrop of stony hills and is a major tourist attraction of the state.

Day 08 - Samode - Mandawa
Leisure in the morning. Take an interesting camel ride and explore the rural lifestyle. Afterwhich drive to Mandawa. Transfer to the desert Resort on reaching and get a traditional welcome. Enjoy Gala barbecue with campfire in the evening. Enjoy sweet music played by the desert dwellers.

Day 09 - Mandawa - Delhi
Start your day with a visit to the havelis. Drive back to Delhi. On arrival check into the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 10 - Delhi
Take a short trip to Old Delhi and visit places like Jama Masjid, Red fort, Gandhi memorial, shopping etc. Drive to a countryside farm on the outskirts of Delhi for a gala farewell dinner along the poolside. Transfer to the International Airport and board flight for the onward destination.
