Hoshang Shah’s Tomb
Hoshang Shah’s Tomb is the first marble edifice of India. Another fine example of Afghan architecture, the tomb showcases intricate marble lattice work, a well defined dome, courts with massive porticos and huge towers to define the shape of the rectangle.
It is believed that Shah Jahan sent four architects to take note of the design of the tomb and use it as an inspiration to build the Taj Mahal.
