Introduction
In the 10th century under the Paramara Dynasty, Mandu became a prominent location in central India. During the reign of the Malwas between 1401 and 1531, they renamed the erstwhile name of Shadiabad to Mandu. During this era many buildings, monuments, tombs, mosques and palaces were built showcasing Islamic architecture and unbelievable craftsmanship. Dai-Ka-Mahal is one of the many monuments built during this period.
Dai-Ka-Mahal
Built on the east bank of Sagar Lake of Mandu on a historic fort, Dai-Ka-Mahal is a famous tomb in Mandu. The tomb is built on a pedestal which has beautiful arched openings. The domed roof and the towers with pavilion tops add extraordinary beauty to the tomb.
