History
History of Sati Anusuya states that this place in Chitrakoot is the historical place of meditation of Atri Muni,his wife Anusuya and his three sons, who were the incarnations of Brahma Vishnu and Maheshwar. It is said that the Mandakini was created because of the meditation by Anusuya.
Description
There is a Sati-Anusuya Ashram in the area, 15 km south of Ramghat. Thee is an idol of Anusuya, her husband Atri and her three sons along with deities and idols of other Giods and sages. This place is a perfect peaceful place of serenity, surrpounded by think dense forests and the beautiful stream that flows through it.

Sati Anusuya is located a few kilometers up the stream from the town and to reach sati Anusuya, amidst the dense forested areas, one needs to take a winding road through the greens. To reach Sati Anusuya in Chitrakoot by rail, the nearest railhead is Chitrakoot while Khajuraho is the closest airport, 175 km away.
