The old Chanderi city is referred to as Buddhi. This place is visited by a large number of Jains each year because of the presence of a large number of Jain temples belonging to the 9th and 10th century. Buddhi Chanderi is situated on the banks of Urvashi river. It is believed that the Chaidnagar mentioned in Puranas is same as Buddhi Chanderi.
