Madanikas (Bracket Figures) – These are the famous bracket figures on the ornate ceiling of Chennakesava Temple, believed to have been inspired by Shantala Devi's beauty. There are 650 elephants, all uniquely carved, charging on the ornament around the walls. The 38 Bracket figures on the walls are perfectly inscribed.
