Jaisalmer or the city renowned for the Golden Fort comes alive during the months of February and March, with the color, music, rivalry, glory and the vibrancy of the Desert festival.
Organized by the tourist authorities in association with the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation in order to maintain the heavy tourist flow to the region and also propagating the state's cultural and social aspect, the festival is organized every year. The duration of the festival generally lasts 14 to 15 days.
