Minjar Fair in Himachal Pradesh is celebrated in Chamba to mark the occasion of setting of rainfall and the blooming of maize in the season of harvest. Held in August, Minjar Fair is observed for a week. Legends say that this fair and festival in Himachal Pradesh is conducted to appease the God of rain so that torrential rains and a high yield are granted.

Minjars or maize flowers and coconuts are offered to God Varuna at Ravi river on the last day of the festival.

A procession is carried out Akhand Chandi Palace till the bank of the Ravi before immersion ceremony.
