Bihu reminds us of the mood of revelry that grips the lush-green valleys, rippling Bahmaputra and hilly terrains across Assam with enchanting songs, frenzied dances and merriment, Known to be the national festival of Assam in India, Bihu derives its name from the Sanskrit word Vishu.
