    Day 02: DELHI-JODHPUR (OVERNIGHT TRAIN)
After breakfast, take a half-day city tour of Old Delhi. Visit the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India and the Red Fort built by Shah Jahan. Also visit Chandni Chowk, the street of the silversmiths, and Rajghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. In the afternoon, take a city tour of New Delhi. Visit Humayun's Tomb: built in the mid-16th century, this is an early example of Mughal architecture; the Qutab Minar; India Gate, the President's Mansion, Connaught Place, Laxmi Narayan Temple etc. Later transfer to the railway station to board train for Jodhpur at 2100 hrs.

Day 03: ARRIVE JODHPUR AT 0800 HRS Jodhpur
On arrival transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, take a city tour of Jodhpur. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, which literally means "Majestic Fort", located at the very centre of the city. The Fort has three gates in all, each built to commemorate a particular victory, as well as to reinforce the fort. It has a collection of well-preserved musical instruments, palanquins, furniture and cannons on the fort's ramparts. Close to the fort complex lies the Jaswant Thada: a white marble cenotaph, built in 1899, in commemoration of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Rare portraits of Jodhpur's rulers are displayed at the Jaswant Thada. Also visit the Clock Tower in the city centre.

    Day 04: JODHPUR-RANAKPUR-UDAIPUR
After breakfast, take an excursion to Bishnoi villages (in jeeps) to witness the opium ceremony amongst the villagers. View the wildlife enroute including rare black bucks. After the excursion, leave for Udaipur, enroute visiting the Jain temples at Ranakpur. This cluster of temples, made of intricately sculpted white marble, is a marvelous feat of architecture. It would take anyone by surprise to learn that they were built in 1460, so well preserved and sparkling is the marble. Arrive at Udaipur in the evening and check in at the hotel.

    Day 05: UDAIPUR
After breakfast, visit the romantic city of Udaipur. Visit the City Palace which is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan; Jagdish temple, a fine Indo Aryan temple built in 1651; Sahelion ki Bari or Garden of the Maids of Honour, which is a small garden with fountains, kiosks, marble elephants and lotus pool. In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola.

    Day 06: UDAIPUR-CHITTORGARH-PUSHKAR
After breakfast, leave for Pushkar, enroute visiting Chittorgarh. The hilltop fortress of Chittorgarh epitomises the romantic ideal of Rajput chivalry. A stronger enemy sacked the fort 3 times from 1303 to 1568 and on each occasion, the women of the fort committed "Jauhar" or mass self-immolation in a funeral pyre. After the visit, continue drive to Pushkar. Arrive at Pushkar and check in at hotel.

    Day 07: PUSHKAR
Full day, visit the Pushkar fair and local area. Overnight at the hotel.

    Day 08: PUSHKAR

Amer Fort is at a distance of 11 km from Jaipur, and was the ancient capital of Jaipur state. The construction of the fort was begun in 1592 by Raja Man Singh, the Rajput commander of Akbar's army and is a superb example of Rajput architecture. In the afternoon, take a city tour of Jaipur. Visit the City Palace, which has a museum with an extensive collection of art, carpets, enamelware and weapons; see the Jantar Mantar, an observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728, and view the facade of the Hawa Mahal.

    Day 11: JAIPUR-FATEHPUR SIKRI-AGRA Fatehpur Sikri
After breakfast, leave for Agra. Enroute, visit the Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other palaces, which are still preserved in their original glory. Arrive at Agra in the evening and check in at a pre-booked hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

    Day 12: AGRA-DELHI
After breakfast, tour the city of Agra. Visit the Red fort, which was built by Emperor Akbar in 1565, and extended by his grandson, Shah Jahan. It contains halls of public and private audiences, among many other beautiful structures. The tomb of Itmad-ud-daulah, constructed by Nur Jahan between 1622 and 1628 is very similar to the tomb she constructed for her husband, Jehangir, near Lahore in Pakistan. The highlight of the day is the trip to the beautiful Taj Mahal, which was constructed by Shah Jahan, between 1631 and 1653, in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Leave for Delhi in the afternoon.
